Located in Haute-Savoie near Geneva and Annecy, the Aravis are a 25km-long mountain range, the highest point of which is La Pointe Percée at 2,752m.
Geologically part of the French Prealps, the range has a huge variety of scenery and activities on offer, making it a popular area in winter and summer alike. The Aravis region is home to several well-known ski resorts, including La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand.
Skiers benefit from a fantastic playground of over 210 km of alpine pistes (135 downhill skiing runs) and 150 km of cross-country pistes suitable for both skating and classic techniques. The skiing terrain in the Aravis is extremely varied, with plenty to challenge even the most experienced of skiers.
The prestige, the authenticity and the charm of the Aravis ski resorts make the region an extremely sought-after holiday destination. High-end apartments and luxury chalets can be found in La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand.
