The Musilac

Show light - BARNES Mont-Blanc, luxury real estate in Savoy

Good rock and pop music, the magical natural scenery of Lake Bourget, a festive atmosphere and the taste of solidarity ... You are at the festival Musilac Aix-Les-Bains.

Every summer, the Esplanade du Lac in Aix-les-Bains turns into a giant stage on the shores of Lake Bourget. During Musilac, the Grand Port, its pontoons and its beaches become the headquarters of tens of thousands of festival-goers, with the Mont Revard and the Bauges as a backdrop.

Facing the largest natural lake in France, the festival owes part of its aura to this setting. Over the editions, it has become one of the great summer music events and carries the name of Aix-les-Bains well beyond Savoie.

More than twenty years of music by the lake

Created in 2002 by Rémi Perrier and Roland Zennaro with the support of the town of Aix-les-Bains, Musilac was born of a simple ambition, to stage a major contemporary music festival on the shores of Lake Bourget.

Since its first edition, the festival has kept growing while preserving what makes its identity, an eclectic line-up and a genuine closeness between artists and audience. Today, Musilac ranks among the must-see festivals of the summer season in France, welcoming the biggest names of the French and international scene every year.

The 2026 line-up, from international stars to the French scene

From Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 July 2026, Musilac offers four days of concerts spanning pop, rock, electro, rap and French chanson. This year's headliners include:

  • Katy Perry
  • Orelsan
  • Gorillaz
  • Jamiroquai
  • Bigflo & Oli

Alongside them, the line-up features Charlotte Cardin, Feu! Chatterton, Lost Frequencies, Pomme, Gaëtan Roussel, Cassius, Rilès, 47Ter, Bianca Costa, Solann, Styleto, Yelle, Flora Fishbach and Dabeull Live Band. The full programme and schedule are available on the festival's official website.

From the festival to the Aix art of living

Musilac is also a gateway to Aix-les-Bains. Between two concerts, festival-goers are found at the Mémard beach, on the pontoons of the Grand Port, aboard the Musilac Boat and the cruise that reaches Hautecombe Abbey along the wild shore, or up at the Chambotte viewpoint, where the whole lake comes into view.

This art of living that Musilac concentrates over one weekend, Aix-les-Bains unfolds all year round. A thermal resort since Roman times, an heir to the Belle Époque with its Casino Grand Cercle and the Musée Faure, home to one of the finest collections of Impressionists and Rodin works in provincial France, it combines lake, mountains and heritage. The event adds a charitable dimension, with patronage that opens access for people with disabilities and supports young talent.

When Musilac reveals the potential of Aix-les-Bains

It is no coincidence that a festival of this scale set up its stages in Aix-les-Bains. Bringing in tens of thousands of spectators calls for a town that is easy to reach, with plenty of places to stay and eat, and ideally a setting that turns heads. Aix-les-Bains has all of this, linked to Lyon, Geneva, Annecy and Chambéry by motorway and rail, with the many hotels and restaurants inherited from its thermal tradition, and opening onto the Esplanade du Lac, at the water's edge with the Bauges as a backdrop, a setting that many festivals envy.

Some of the qualities that won over the festival's organisers are also the ones that win over buyers at our BARNES Aix-les-Bains estate agency. A town that is lively all year round, close to Lyon and Geneva, combining the gentleness of a thermal resort beside a great lake with a location minutes from the peaks, these are all assets that feed a steady demand for luxury real estate in Aix-les-Bains and around Lake Bourget.
